Mahindra Scorpio launches new Scorpio N Available in nine variants with petrol and diesel engines, the vehicle starts at Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh. Only the price of the manual and 4×2 variants has been announced so far. Automatically, the price of the 4×4 variants will be announced on the 21st of next month. Bookings will start from June 30 and only the first 25,000 people will receive the vehicle at the initial price.
Power engines
The car is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-liter diesel engine used in the Mahindra Thar and XUV700. The diesel engine is available in two tunings. The petrol engine produces 203 hp and 370 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is available in 132 hp and 300 Nm of torque variants with 175 bhp and 370 Nm of torque variants. The diesel engine has three drive modes, Normal, Grass / Graval / Snow, Mud and Sant terrain modes. Six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes.
Larger than Scorpio
The current Scorpio N will be marketed as a classic with minor modifications. It is 206mm longer and 97mm wider than the older model. But the height is less than 125 mm. The wheelbase is raised to 70mm.
Luxurious interior
The interior is luxurious. The interior color scheme is dual tone. Dashboard and seats with premium look. The dashboard has aluminum trims. 17.78 cm digital MID display and sporty steering wheel. The new Scorpio has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Sony 3D surround system. There are also seating arrangements with different layouts such as six and seven.
Stylish design
The arrival of the new Scorpio comes with drastic changes. The Scorpio N is the second vehicle to come with Mahindra’s new logo. The XUV700 has a similar grille and a honeycomb finish airdam. Silver colored skid plates. It has a dual pod headlamp and a muscular shoulder line. Wheelarches are muscular on the sides. The back is also beautiful. The vehicle was designed at the Mahindra India Design Studio in Mumbai and engineered at the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai.
