Udumalai: Banana saplings have been brought in for sale from other districts as farmers are interested in cultivating marzipan as an intercrop and intercrop in coconut. As a result, the area under vegetables and other crops has increased in the last season. Similarly, in water rich areas, farmers are showing more interest in cultivating bananas.
