Liverpool consider Marco Asensio as possible long-term replacement for Mo Salah

Liverpool are reportedly considering Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio to replace Egypt’s Mohamed Salah. The Spanish media Sport reports. Salah’s current contract with Liverpool expires next season.

Asensio also has one year left on his way to Real Madrid. Therefore, other European giants such as Inter Milan, Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the player, the report said. Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking for a solution if Salah leaves the club. Salah is likely to leave the club after his contract with Liverpool expires.

Sport reports that Liverpool are considering Asensio for the position. However, Real Madrid have said they will only sell Asencio if they receive more than 50 million. If Real Madrid do not receive satisfactory offers, the player will remain at the Spanish club until next summer.

Asensio joined Real Madrid in 2014 from Mayorca. Asensio, who at one point was a crucial presence for Real Madrid, was often on the bench last season.
