Instagram users should be aware of a new scam that, with the excuse of the challenge of finding the difference in an image,tricks victims into obtaining their account login credentials in order to steal it.
The challenge known as ‘find the difference’ it is quite common on the internet. It is an image in which the same element is reproduced several times and only one of the proposals presents a slight variation that makes it different.
This visual acuity challenge has found a niche among the scams that threaten social network users, as Twitter user PinkyBoyz, also a moderator on Valentí Sanjuan’s Twitch channel, picks up.
In this scam, the user and potential victim receives a message from a friend promising the payment of 50 dollars if you manage to discover the different element of the image. To receive the money, a conversation is started in which the user is prompted to change the email linked to their Instagram account.

Made the change, what has actually happened is that the user and now victim has linked the account with the scammer’s emailwho only has to request to recover the password to enter a new one in that ’email’, leaving the account in their possession.
