The United States has imposed various sanctions on Russia over its war on Ukraine. In retaliation, Russia has imposed sanctions on Americans.

President Putin’s administration has ordered a ban on 25 people from entering Russia, including Jill Biden, the wife of US President Joe Biden, and her daughter Ashley.

Republican MPs Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Ben Sauce and Democrats have all blamed anti-Russian sentiment. Christine Gillibrand has also been banned from entering Russia.
