Former national cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra has praised Sanju Samson for his performance in the second T20I against Ireland. Chopra said that Sanju was playing like Rohit Sharma and would run non-stop while at the crease. “Sanju batted very well. His start was good, but one fell behind in the middle of the innings. But, again, he quickly raised the gum score. Sanju does it very well every time he bats. I have never seen Sanju bat so badly. Sanju is a batter belonging to Rohit Sharma’s category. Because Rohit also does it very beautifully when he is batting. “Runs keep coming in and they control the whole game,” Chopra said.

Sanju opened the innings against Ireland with 77 off 42 balls. Fifty off 31 balls. There are reports that India will try the same players who played in the series against Ireland in the first T20 against England. It has been reported that the limited overs players involved in the Test series against England will be dropped from the first T20. In that case, Malayalee Sanju Samson may get a place in the competition.

The Test match between India and England will be played on July 1. The first T20 will be on July 7. The BCCI has decided to rest the limited overs players in the team as the Test series ends on the fifth day. If so, Jaspreet Bumra, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja will not be in the starting T20 squad. India will play two T20 warm-up matches on July 1 and 3. The same team that played against Ireland in these matches will also go down.
