When she came to Berlin for the demonstration of the Freefallers for the Future, thousands cheered for her because of the unease about the resource-devouring lifestyle and the resulting climate change. How many of them follow the clear Greta rule of “don’t buy shit” remains speculation. A few young people took the idea of asceticism in an extreme direction with a hunger strike for the climate.
