The center’s activities are based on the infrastructure of the Israeli Avnet Data Security company acquired by Rockwell Automation in January 2020, and on the infrastructure of Oylo from Barcelona, ​​Spain, which Rockwell acquired in October 2020. The center operates in cooperation with the systems security companies Claroti Industrial, CrowdStrike, Dragos and Cisco. Rockwell’s Global Cyber ​​Operations Manager is Yigal Cohen, former CEO of Avnet Data Security.

According to him, the company’s activity in the field of industrial cyber security is managed from Israel, and constitutes a significant growth engine for the company. “The investment in the field is intended to improve Rockwell Automation’s own control solutions, and to build a center of expertise for the security of industrial systems. Traditional IT security strategies are not enough to protect operational systems. We will help customers adopt an approach that covers the entire sequence of attacks: before, during and after the event. “
