Chennai: Yashwant Sinha today (June 30) met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and DMK alliance leaders and sought their support as the opposition’s common candidate in the presidential election.
Yashwant Sinha is the opposition’s common candidate in the presidential election. Arriving in Chennai today, he met the leaders of the secular alliance parties at Anna Arivalayam in Thenampet, Chennai and sought their support. Earlier, Chief Minister Stalin welcomed Yashwant Sinha with a bouquet.
Yashwant Sinha also sought the support of Congress alliance parties including DMK, CPM, CBI, Humanitarian People’s Party, Tamil Nadu Right to Life Party, Kongunadu National Party and Vizika. Tamil Nadu Ministers and Members of Parliament were present during the meeting.
