Russia’s war on Ukraine has now turned into a war to seize the Donbass region of eastern Ukraine.
While Russia has captured major cities in the region, it is intensifying its siege and capture of the last city, Liszczyk.
There is currently heavy fighting going on. Reports from there say that 95 percent of the Lukansk region in the Donbass region and half of the Donetsk region have fallen into Russian hands.
It is noteworthy that almost entirely Russian is spoken in the Donbass region. Speaking in Turkmenistan yesterday on the capture of the Donbass region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, “My intentions for Ukraine have not changed. My goal is to liberate the Donbass region, to protect the people there, and to create conditions that guarantee Russia’s security. ”
