Night Madness: Hundreds of thousands spent white night events in the city

by time news

Last night, White Night events in Tel Aviv attracted tens of thousands of entertainers and culture lovers to the city streets and dozens of performances and events at the venues, and were crowned a dramatic success as the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality claims hundreds of thousands of celebrants across the city. And according to the reports that flowed into the timeout system: there is a situation.

Reports that flowed from around the city indicated lively traffic on the city streets and especially in the Carmel, Florentine and Flea Market areas that became one big street party, along with long queues outside the evening’s main attractions at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Eretz Israel Museum.

In the Hatikva neighborhood, too, there was a nice commotion in the market area and its surroundings, and it was difficult to distinguish between spontaneous parties and those planned by the municipality. Mayor Ron Huldai also arrived at the venue in perfect time with the jump in the level of joy, and if the event was documented on video then he already has a video for the election campaign.

As every year, the question of whether this is an event intended for locals or perhaps for residents of nearby cities was quite poignant, but complaints from non-residents of Tel Aviv accumulated from the area and revealed to their amazement that some of the events are for digital city residents only. Of the white night and reality.

The White Night events began at six in the evening and continued in some hotspots until morning light. The idea behind the White Night is a diverse cultural celebration that has become a tradition, and is held every year to mark UNESCO’s declaration of the white city of Tel Aviv as a World Heritage Site.

This year, the events spread from the south of the city to the north, including: a celebration of music, culture and heritage in a contemporary twist in the Hatikva neighborhood; Hebrew rock performances in Old Jaffa; A tribute show to singer, actor and creator Arik Einstein; Celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art in the name of Tel Aviv nostalgia; Pajama party for girls and boys at Beit Ariela; A hip hop party in Sharona; A show for the whole family to mark the 70th birthday of Uzi Hitam, in the Basel plaza; Yoga at sunrise in the Tel Aviv port; And other events and performances on the streets and in cultural institutions.
