The price of fuel continues to soar. On the night between Thursday and Friday, the price of fuel will increase by 36 ag from the previous month and will exceed NIS 8 per liter.
The maximum price per liter of unleaded 95-octane gasoline for a consumer at a self-service station (including VAT) will not exceed NIS 8.08 per liter, an increase of 36 agorot from the previous month.
The supplement for full service will be 21 cents per liter (including VAT), without change from the previous month. The said price will be updated at midnight between Thursday and Friday.
This will cross the NIS 8 price per liter for the first time since 2012. Last month, the price jumped by 66 agorot to NIS 7.72 per liter, completing an increase of 20% per year.

The tax authority announced this week that starting on August 10, there will be a reduction of an additional half a shekel A tax on the price of a liter of gasoline, beyond the reduction of half a shekel that has existed in recent months – so that the tax on a liter of gasoline will be reduced by a full shekel by November 15, 2022.

The reduction of half a shekel in the price of diesel will be extended by another six months, until the end of 2022. The Minister of Finance has not yet signed the orders and will do so tomorrow morning after public comments.
