Allegations have been leveled against IRCTC’s service and provision of food and tourism services on the Indian Railways.

In that regard, an incident has taken place where a passenger on the Sadhapati train had handed over a receipt for Rs. 70 on behalf of the IRCTC for the purchase of a cup of tea.
A passenger on the Sadhapati train from Bhopal to Delhi bought tea on June 28. The price of that tea is just 20 rupees. But the passenger was shocked to see that the service charge of 50 rupees was mentioned in the receipt given by the railway employee.
Following this, the traveler took a photo of the receipt for the tea and shared it on social media, saying, “They charge 50 rupees for tea for 20 rupees. This is a wonderful robbery. ”
The record has gone viral among Netizens and has led to complaints of adoption to the IRCTC. In this case, the railway administration has given an explanation as to why Dee was given a bill of Rs 70
It said, “According to a circular issued in 2018, passengers traveling on Rajdhani or Sadhapati trains will have to pay a service charge of Rs 50 if they order food during the journey without booking food in advance. It has been mentioned that it also applies to a cup of tea or coffee.
However, this announcement, which was initially mandatory on Sadhapati and Rajdhani trains, has since been changed to optional. That means passengers can refuse to buy food on the train if they wish, and can only pay for the ticket. ” As reported.
