1996: The fundamentalist Taliban militias conquer Kabul and proclaim an Islamic state of God. Afghanistan’s ex-president Mohammad Najibullah and his brother are murdered and their bodies are on public display.
2001: A rampage in the canton parliament of Zug claims 15 deaths. The perpetrator acted out of anger about the rejection of his supervisory complaint by the authorities of the Swiss canton.
2006: Former President of the Bosnian-Serbian Parliament, Momčilo Krajišnik, has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for crimes against humanity by the UN tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
2006: Anna Badora opens her directorship at the Graz Schauspielhaus with her own production of Franz Grillparzer’s “Medea”.
