Geneva: Referees find a way to escape blame for offside decisions FIFA says Qatar will introduce technology at the World Cup that will help referees make decisions faster than wars offside.

Qatar’s newcomer to the World Cup is Semi Automated Offside Technology (SAOT). Players’ movements are tracked using multiple cameras. The ball also comes with a sensor. It will soon be shown in 3D on the stadium’s big screen. This will allow fans to understand why the referee made the decision.

FIFA has introduced new technology to assist referees in the last two World Cups. Video review came in 2018, when goal line technology was introduced at the 2014 World Cup. With Qatar’s new technology at the World Cup, decisions can be made faster than war.

In Qatar, there will be 12 cameras under the roof of each stadium. Players’ bodies are tracked 50 times per second at 29 data points. 3D offside line will be displayed on the screen through artificial intelligence. FIFA estimates that this will reduce the risk of errors in offside decisions.
