Chennai: Girl who was raped died after taking abortion medicine. A 15-year-old student of class 10 in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, died after taking medicine given by a fake doctor. Thiruvannamala native S. for torturing the girl and making her pregnant. The police arrested Murugan (27) and his friend Prabhu for assisting in the abortion. The police said that a 65-year-old woman named J.Gandhi gave the medicine to the girl and they did not have sufficient qualifications. DSP said that they have not been arrested yet as they are ill. Murugan, who works as a driver, raped the 10th class girl and made her pregnant. Both lived in the same area and knew each other. The police found that the accused molested the girl several times by taking advantage of this acquaintance.
A year ago, the girl became pregnant after being molested. Then in the second month, Murugan secretly gave medicine and performed an abortion. However, even after this, the accused continued to torture the girl. Recently, the 10th class girl became pregnant for the second time. This time, the accused found out that she was pregnant in the fourth month. With this, the move was made to abort the pregnancy by giving medicine again.
Last Monday, with the help of his friend Prabhu, Murugan took the girl to a fake doctor. Here, the 15-year-old was examined by the attending physician and given medication for abortion. Then the girl fell unconscious while returning home. The girl was immediately taken to Thanipadi Government Hospital but she died.
After receiving the information about the girl’s death, the police started the investigation. Then the accused Murukan and Prabhu were taken into custody. A case has been registered against them under the POCSO Act. The accused were produced before the court and remanded to Vellore Central Jail. The police said that the cause of the girl’s death was an overdose of medicine.
