In Iran, two explosions took place today (Saturday) at the Revolutionary Guards base in the southern capital, Tehran. Several reports have said that Mujahideen Khalek – an organization that opposes the regime in Tehran – has actually taken responsibility for it. Videos circulated on social media, including on the account of the opposition Iran International channel, show documentation of the explosions at the Malek Eshtar base.

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and head of the nuclear negotiating team, Bakri Kani, is visiting Moscow. The visit is not covered in the Iranian media. Bakri Kani met with his Russian counterpart Ryabkov and the head of the Ulyanov negotiating team. The head of the Russian negotiating team called on the United States to show more flexibility, and estimated that despite the difficulties the nuclear deal could be re-established.
