Supreme Court condemns Nubur Sharma’s opinion

As such, a case related to Nubur Sharma came up for hearing in the Supreme Court yesterday. In that hearing, the Supreme Court judges said, “Nubur Sharma’s comment has set the whole country on fire. He was also responsible for the Udaipur massacre. Union Law Minister Kiran Rijiju has said that the Supreme Court’s order against Nubur Sharma is not a judgment.

Speaking to private media yesterday, Kiran Rijiju said, “First of all, as a law minister, it is not proper to comment on the judgment and observations of the Supreme Court. Also, it is a mere verbal observation and not a judgment. Perhaps I do not like such a judgment or I have strong objection to the manner in which the observations were made, but I do not wish to comment on it. They say I have to answer this. However, we will discuss this issue at an appropriate place,” he said.
