Special notification issued by many banks in Sri Lanka to customers

It has been mentioned that considering the current situation in Sri Lanka, some commercial bank branches have changed their opening hours for transactions.

Due to the current fuel shortage problem in the country, the government had announced the distribution of fuel for some essential services including port, health and distribution of essential food.

Also, all other sectors should cooperate to solve this fuel crisis by working from home, otherwise there will be problem in distributing the fuel available to the petroleum corporation.

Minister Bandula Gunawardena had informed that the Cabinet has decided to temporarily suspend other activities until the 10th.

He also mentioned that he expected the cooperation of other departments for this.

The Lanka IOC had informed us that government restrictions will not apply to us at this stage and fuel will be distributed to all vehicles through a voucher system.

Many banks have issued notifications regarding bank transactions in such a critical situation.

Accordingly, considering the current situation in the country, some commercial bank branches have changed the opening hours for transactions.

Also, it is noteworthy that banks have requested their customers to carry out banking transactions online (Digital or Internet Banking) as much as possible.
