In the 2nd innings of the Edgbaston Test against England, Pujara and Rishabh Pant’s half-centuries saw the Indian team amass 245 runs to take a total lead of 377 runs and set England a tough target of 378 runs.

Batting first in the Edgbaston Test between India and England, the Indian team amassed 416 runs in the first innings thanks to hundreds from Rishabh Pant (146) and Ravindra Jadeja (104).

The England team, who played the first innings, scored 284 runs in the first innings thanks to Bairstow’s tremendous century (106).

Shubman Gill (4), Hanuma Vihari (11), Virat Kohli (20) and Shreyas Iyer (19) were dismissed for few runs in the Indian team which played the 2nd innings with a lead of 132 runs.

But Pujara batted responsibly and scored a half-century. Pujara was bowled out for 66 runs, Rishabh Pant, who scored a century in the first innings, batted well in this innings and scored a half-century. Rishabh was dismissed for 57 runs. Jadeja scored 23 runs and Shami scored 13 runs and the Indian team was all out for 245 runs in the 2nd innings.

With a total lead of 377 runs, the Indian team has set a tough target of 378 runs for England. In the 2nd session of today’s match on the 4th day, England has started chasing the target. With a full day left tomorrow, both teams have a chance to win. 378 runs in the last innings is a tough target, so India have a bit more chance.
