Judge circular giving special privilege to young lawyers

by time news

Madras High Court Judge G.R. has given a special privilege to the young advocates who appear in his court and are trained separately. Swaminathan presented.

Details of the circular sent by him to the lawyers of the Madurai branch of the Madras High Court: A few days ago, I told the lawyer who was handling a case in the court that the case would be taken up for hearing at 4 pm. To that, the solicitor reluctantly requested that not at 4 o’clock, please inquire tomorrow. When asked the reason for that, he stated that he could not attend the hearing at 4 pm as he had to pick up his child from school at 3.30 pm.

This incident made me think more. Many young mothers are practicing as lawyers. They, too, may have similar difficulties. It is my duty to consider them.

Such persons may appeal to the court officers in advance and appoint a convenient time for them. But this applies only to lawyers practicing alone. This discount is not applicable to solicitors working as a team. He also mentioned that this procedure will come into effect from Tuesday (July 5). The advocates of the Madurai branch of the High Court welcomed this announcement of the judge.
