Stranger Things: Season 5 won’t be as long as season 4 – Gamereactor

by time news

Last week, we finally wrapped up Season 4 of Stranger Things. While most of us were pretty happy with it and thought it was the best since season one, most of us would probably agree that it’s long.

In an interview with Collider, the Duffer Brothers (Matt and Ross Duffer, the show’s creators) admitted it took longer than planned, while also revealing that the fifth and final season won’t be that long. Matt Duffer says:

“We thought season 4 was going to be eight episodes and they were going to be fixed length. So if you’ve interviewed us before four, that’s what I’d say. I think we’re aiming for eight again. We don’t want it to be 13 hours. We’re aiming for around 10 hours. I think it’s going to be longer than season 1 because we have so much to wrap up, but I don’t think it’s going to be as long as season 4.

Ross Duffer explains why we can expect things to go faster next time:

“This season, for example, our characters even realized that the monster was two hours before Hawkins killed him. They knew what the threat was now, so that would help speed things up.

Do you mind the length of season four and what are your thoughts on that?
