Washington,

The American space agency, NASA, launched the 25 kg “Capstone” satellite six days ago.

The “Capstone” satellite was launched by a small Electron rocket from New Zealand’s Magia Peninsula in association with ‘Rocket Late’ and ‘Advanced Space’.

After reaching Earth’s orbit, the satellite broke away from it and successfully began its journey towards the Moon. It is reported that this satellite will take 4 months to reach the moon.

It is noteworthy that this satellite has been launched at a low cost.

NASA plans to put a space station called Gateway into orbit. From there, astronauts plan to land on the lunar surface as part of the Artemis project.

The new orbit reduces fuel consumption. And the satellite or space station could be in constant contact with Earth, scientists said.

According to Rocket Lab founder Peter Peck, if the remaining missions are successful, the Capstone satellite will be the first to enter a new orbit around the Moon. He said he would send a lot of information over several months.
