In recent years, a company Rockstar Focused on restoring some of its past titles. Basically since 2018 and the launch of Red Dead Redemption 2, The company has not released, in fact, any new game. According to rumors circulating in recent months. Two more games were to be added to this list, the first game in the Red Dead series and a remake ofGTA 4 With two expansion packs. However, according to reports, Rockstar decided to drop the idea.
As per a reliable source with clear accuracy on Rockstar plans, remasters of GTA IV & RDR1 were on the table a few years ago, but Rockstar chose not to proceed with the projects in mind.

The information is unofficial, as this project has never been made public, but according to Tez2 (a relatively reliable leak), which is up to date on what’s happening in the company, and what’s going on behind the scenes, these two projects that have been on the show for several years have been definitively canceled.
This decision came as a result of the disappointing launch of the innovation trilogy, which received negative reviews from most of the gaming industry. The preparatory innovations were probably supposed to go through the same “renovation”, which Dayi gave Rockstar the answer to whether to go ahead with the idea or not.
Maybe it’s a good thing the innovations were eliminated if the quality was the same, it would have made the situation even worse. In addition, even though the trilogy has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, you can be sure that no company has come to want to launch an “old” title and even continue to maintain it for years due to new bugs added in the development of the novelty.
The novelty trilogy was developed for the original GTA games launched on PS2. It used a hybrid visual system in which the classic look was maintained but updated with modern visual enhancement. It was not well received by the fans, but the bigger issues were technical rather than graphic. Eventually the decision passed and the idea fell through, however, one can be sure that Rockstar will not completely erase the idea. And if there comes a day when revenue will be worth the headache during and after development, then we will see the two titles in stores.
