A new group exhibition in the gallery on the cliff of ten artists that presents the personal story of each of them separately, and together for a group statement about memory, longing, creativity and intergenerational renewal.
By Banya Guetta
The exhibition will deal with bEach artist’s personal discussion of the concepts of “generation” and “intergenerational” through family and personal objects related to a circular space that begins in the parents’ home, extends to the childhood neighborhood to their artistic endeavors today.
The term generation refers to a group of people who belong to a particular age, time or culture stratum. While Door – the door symbolizes transitions from place to place, from time to time and at the same time is also a distinct, liminal independent place – a place that is no longer here but also not there yet. A place that is a threshold. Instead, the artists mentioned in the event stand in the past and present their social and personal world from the past and the present while using a variety of different materials and media: sculpture, painting, sink and digital media. The age group of the artists chosen to exhibit at the “Cliff” gallery allows us to look through the eyes of years and three family generations.
The upper gallery will display works that mainly deal with childbirth, nesting, neighborhood games for children and a cycle picture.
In the lower gallery, the works will focus, outside and inside the houses, on objects that symbolize a generational connection with a touch of memory and longing.
