Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Sports Development Team won the Super Division Hockey ‘League’ match yesterday, defeating the Southern Railway team without scoring a single goal.
The 58th Super Division Hockey ‘League’ Championship is underway at the Radhakrishnan Hockey Arena in Egmore under the auspices of the Chennai Hockey Association. In this competition, 15 teams such as Indian Bank, Southern Railway, Central and State Government Sports Development Commission teams, Tamil Nadu Police are conducting multiple exams.
In the previous day’s match, GST and Central Excise and Indira Gandhi Memorial teams clashed. In that, the GST team defeated the Gandhi Memorial team with the score of 7 – 1. GST players Balaji, Pichumani scored two goals each, Lakshmanan, Badshah, Joshua scored one goal each.
In yesterday’s match, the Southern Railway team and the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Team clashed. From the start, the game development teams were at the forefront of the intense competition. In the end, S.D.A.T. won the match by beating the Railway team with a score of 3 – 0.
