The man who shot people in a Chicago park during the Independence Day parade is under arrest. Robert E. Crimo III (22) was arrested. The death toll is six. 38 people are under treatment.
Shots were fired from the top of the adjacent building at those who had come to watch the country’s 246th Independence Day parade. A legally purchased gun was used. There was also a shooting in Minneapolis during Independence Day events. Eight people were injured.
No one has been arrested. In Philadelphia, two policemen who were on security duty during the celebrations were shot.
