Kottarakkara: The entire Pallikal village is praying for the life of Srikutty. A girl named Shreya is the daughter of Bineesh and Anju of Pallikal Bineesh Bhawan who died in an accident on MC road in Kulakada yesterday. The three-year-old girl was seriously injured in the accident and is in a private hospital.
Bineesh and his family went to Ernakulam on Sunday to meet his sister Parvathy’s second child. Srikutty, who was at Anju’s house in Punalur, was taken there. Bineesh’s mother Usha was in Ernakulam for Parvathi’s maternity services.
They returned home on Monday around 6:00 pm. The trip, which was packed with a car including a coconut sapling from Ernakulam, only reached Kulakada. Bineesh Adoor was over when father Krishnankutty called at 11:30 in the night.

A couple natives of Pallikal died in a car accident in Kulakada; Three-year-old daughter seriously injured
Puthur: A couple from Kottarakkara Pallikal died after their cars collided at Kulakada on MC Road. Bineesh Krishnan (34) and his wife A.G. Anju (30) died at Pallikal Bineesh Bhawan, an automobile engineer in a private company in Tirunelveli. Their daughter Shreya (three years old) has been admitted to a private hospital in Kollam with serious injuries. Kulakkada Bhanuvilasam NSS on MC Road at around 12:30 on Tuesday morning. The incident took place in front of the Kara Yoga Temple.
The information received from the scene is that the car coming in the opposite direction rammed into the car they were traveling in while returning to their home in Pallikal after going to visit their sister’s baby in Ernakulam. The car was completely destroyed by the impact. The overturned car also smashed the wall of the nearby Karayoga temple. Those who were trapped inside were pulled out with great difficulty.
Anju and Shreya were first taken out and taken to the Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital in a passing pick-up van. But Anju could not be saved. After more than half an hour of hard work by the fire brigade, police and locals, Bineesh was pulled out from the driving seat.
Bineesh also succumbed to death after being rushed to Adoor hospital in the fire rescue service ambulance.
Those involved in the rescue operation said that all three were in the front seat of the car.
Arvind Santosh (24) was driving the crashed car in Adoor Churakode Shibu Bhavan. His head is injured. He told the police that he was returning after taking his friend to Puthurmuk. Bineesh’s body was brought home from Adoor taluka hospital mortuary and Anju’s body from Kottarakkara taluka hospital together. In front of the house where many hopes and dreams were gathered, people who had lost their youth lay. The country flowed around them with tearful obeisances. The village mourned with unshed tears when the two, who had lived together and traveled together, were cremated on the same pyre.
