A protest rally will be held by the Inter-University Student Union.
As this rally will take place tomorrow, it has been advised to provide special security in Colombo tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.
At the same time, it has been announced that the opposition will also hold a protest along with the Kota Ko Kama protestors tomorrow on the 9th of Manu.
Preparedness for struggle
Also, it is reported that the Inter-University Student Union has decided to start a rally near the Vikaramahadevi Park tomorrow and proceed to the Fort President’s House.
Due to this, the commanding officer has issued orders to the Special Task Force to ensure the security of the President’s Secretariat, Temple Lane, Prime Minister’s House and Police Headquarters and manage public order.
Task force to be assembled
It is said that a large number of Special Task Force officers are required to engage in the duties. Therefore, it has been decided to call all the officers on duty in camps and stations in the Colombo area and the officers who are socializing from home to work for the above duties as a matter of urgency.
