Makkah: This year’s Hajj will begin on Friday with the gathering of Arafa. About 10 lakh pilgrims have reached the valley of Meena. Around 10 lakh pilgrims reached Makkah following health precautions and strict safety standards.

Pilgrims had started flocking to Meena from Wednesday night with calls for labbai. They will all be in Mina until Friday morning when they leave for Arafa Maidani. After two years after the covid hiatus, the Mina valley is filled with pilgrims. Pilgrims stay in Mina for four more days. Mina valley is the place where pilgrims who come for Hajj spend most of their time.

A wide range of facilities have been prepared for the pilgrims who have reached Mina. Pilgrims who stay at Mina with day and night prayers on Thursday will reach Arafa before noon on Friday. The gathering at Arafa is the first and most important ceremony of the Hajj.

Hajj will not be complete without participating in this. Therefore, even sick pilgrims in hospitals will be brought to Arafah in ambulances and air ambulances. Member of the Saudi Council of Scholars and Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Eisa will deliver the Arafa sermon this time.
