The dispute between O. Panneerselvam and Edappadi Palaniswami as to who will take over the sole leadership of AIADMK has been creating a lot of excitement in the Tamil Nadu political arena for the past few days. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has also announced that there is no ban on holding AIADMK’s general meeting on July 11.
In this situation, the new generation had conducted a special interview with the former editor of our Amma magazine and a key executive of AIADMK, Marudu Agarraj.
In it, he had answered the questions raised by Karthikeyan, the editor of the political section, regarding the allegations leveled by Marudu Agguraj against Edappadi Palaniswami’s party. Maruthu Aghorraj has said that whenever the AIADMK faces a split, it faces setbacks in politics and elections.

Question: What is the reason behind the sudden accusation against Edappadi Palaniswami?
Answer: I expressed my views only after our mother came out of the newspaper because it would not be good for me to have an internal battle to be there to express all my angers and sorrows.
This single leadership problem has not just started. This single leadership issue started after the election. The General Assembly shall be chaired by the Convenor and Co-Convenor.
Although our Amma newspaper is said to be the official newspaper of AIADMK, its owner is S.P. Velumani’s cousin and surrogate Chandrasekhar. This is not a magazine for ADM’s leadership.
Question: Isn’t our MGR also a newspaper of AIADMK like our Amma newspaper?
Answer: Our MGR is a foundation. Whoever the management is, its founder is J.Jayalali. But our mother is not like that. They have created the illusion of being an official journal.
Question: Is OPS continuously blacked out?
Answer: In our Amma newspaper, after the coordinator, the post of co-coordinator will appear. But after the election, there will be an order from the top asking to put the OPS message on the front page instead of on the inside page. Then gradually the news of OPS went to the trash. They did this little by little planning.
Question: Was there no consultation with you, the editor, regarding the removal of O. Panneerselvam’s name from our mother newspaper?
Answer: Not even a single day has any comment related to this been spoken to me. Trying to speak for myself, I went to Coimbatore 23 times to see Chandrasekhar. But every time I was sent back without looking.
Question: You are salaried O.P.S. About Jayakumar saying that you are on the side..?
Answer: Defamation is the last refuge of unanswerable scoundrels. Jayakumar says that it is illegal to not respond to my allegations. You have to say with evidence what you have done wrong.
If I had committed financial malpractice, they should have fired me. But I myself resigned from the editorship of our Amma newspaper.
Says Jayakumar, who was Jayalalithaa’s interlocutor for 11 years, he does not belong to the party. Do you know how Jayakumar was sidelined by Jayalalitha?
When such Jayakumar was elected Speaker, I wrote the whole speech to him who came to me to provide the typescript and chased him saying “Marudu Ada write it, Marudu Ada write it”.
Question: As treasurer, he goes to court to defame the party by not releasing the party funds, O.P.S. EPS is trying to disable AIADMK. Regarding the prosecution?
Answer: The General Secretary’s seat is for Jayalalithaa. The same Edappadi Palaniswami party who said that he is the permanent general secretary, says that he should be the all-powerful general secretary. What to believe, what to accept and what to let go of what they say?
Question: OPS about Koda Nadu murder and robbery. Have you ever spoken?
Answer: When asked about this, Edappadi Palaniswami, who is the chief minister who is in charge of the police department. I am the deputy chief minister who is not recognized by the constitution. If he talks about the action in this situation, he will be accused of spreading suspicion. But O.P.S said that I have expressed my opinion strongly.
