London: Whoever wins the Wimbledon 2022 women’s singles final will make history. Both the contenders for the title are reaching the finals for the first time. Ons Jabeur-Elena Rybakina final match is tomorrow at 6:30 pm.

The Tunisian star Ons Jabeur came close to the title by beating the thirty-four-year-old Tatjana Maria. Jabur also holds the record of being the first Arab player to reach the Grand Slam final. Jabur is the first African player to reach the Wimbledon title since South Africa’s Sandra Reynolds, who reached the final in 1960. In the semi-finals, the Tunisian won against Maria with the score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-1. Kazakhstan’s Elena Rabakina defeated former champion Simona Halep in straight sets. Score 6-3, 6-3.
