Daedelic Entertainment has lifted the lid on a game about the rogue Sméagol and his adventures in the world of Lord of the Rings for the first time. It’s been nearly three years since The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first released, and the game has been delayed once, but if all goes according to plan, it will launch this September.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a story-driven action RPG where our twisted protagonist is on a quest to regain his only treasure. Torn by his broken heart, players will have to manage both Sméagol and Gollum in one journey that will take him through famous locations, revealing more about his time as a slave under the Dark Tower and his wanderings with the Mirkwood elves Han, as he interacts with iconic characters from the series.
