The Korean company Samsung is preparing a new update for the Expert RAW app, which will bring two new useful features to users. The company shared details about the update in a recent post on the Samsung community forums and confirmed that Expert RAW support for some older Samsung Galaxy phone models has been delayed.

The source indicates that the app will get a new custom default settings feature with the next release. The feature will allow users to select a custom preset for frequently used camera settings and save it for faster access.

In addition, the update will introduce a new format save menu. Currently, Expert RAW app saves images in RAW and JPEG formats. The next Save Format menu will give users access to three new options, allowing them to save images in RAW, JPEG, or both.

As mentioned above, the source also mentions a delay in support for the Z Fold 2 phones. Earlier, the company said that these devices will receive support for the Camera app in the first half of this year.

However, devices have not yet received support for this software due to issues discovered during the final verification. Currently, he has not shared the updated schedule for the launch. But at the same time, the company confirmed that this app will not support the telephoto camera of the Galaxy S20 Ultra because it does not produce RAW Bayer images.

The updated version of the app with the two new features mentioned above has not been released by the Galaxy Store. But it is supposed to be rolling out to users in the next few days.
