The war started in Ukraine by Russian forces on the order of Russian President Putin on February 24, has been going on for more than 4 months. Despite the economic sanctions of many countries of the world, the intervention of the United Nations, negotiations, and food shortages, Putin does not seem to be backing down from his decision.

Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, shared the video on Twitter with the caption, ‘Dad came home from the war.’ In the video, a woman blindfolds her child and brings him inside from outside. Inside, the child’s father, who has returned home from war, is waiting to surprise her. Once inside, the woman makes the child open its eyes.
The child, stunned to see her father, who had gone to war months before, stares at him longingly for a few seconds and hugs him in tears. After comforting her, the Ukrainian soldier gives her the bouquet he had brought…and thus the video ends.
