Moira Rework Now Live in Overwatch 2 Beta – Overwatch 2 – Gamereactor

by time news

Moira has been a topic of discussion among Blizzard Overwatch developers for a while now, as the side characters have always felt a little monotonous to play from a player’s perspective. Needless to say, the character has been talking about a rework for a while now, a detail Blizzard has discussed recently.

Today, as part of the ongoing Overwatch 2 beta, Moira has received some rework in the form of changes to her previous biosphere abilities. This is now known as Necrosphere, and if you choose to use the ability that does damage instead of healing, it will create a damage orb that explodes at the end of its duration and marks nearby enemies with the “Weakened” debuff that lasts for four seconds Reduces damage by 75% within the clock.

In addition to that, Moira’s Healing Orb is slightly strained, has a lower total capacity, and its cooldown has been increased by two seconds. Also, Moira’s self-healing ability from Biotic Grasp took a little hit, as did her fade ability, which has an increased cooldown of seven seconds compared to the original six seconds.

The beta’s patch notes also include a few different bug fixes, as well as addressing a strange bug where Mercy’s Guardian Angel ability was launching her into the air – this now works with charging bars, where the more charge, the higher Mercy flies upwards.
