Vacationers enjoying La Jolla Beach in San Diego, California were chased by sea lions after getting too close.
Video posted to TikTok on Friday shows dozens of people running on the beach to escape aggressive marine mammals, according to information from Global News.
The experience was surreal for many tourists, as Charlianne Yeyna explains, visiting the beach.
“I started filming the scene, because it was very funny to see all these tourists being chased by these giant sea lions,” she says.
According to the young woman, some tourists have violated the personal space of sea lions.
“The sea lions were just sleeping. Suddenly, a woman approached about 4 feet from the beasts to take a “selfie”. This is when the sea lions reacted by chasing the other tourists,” she adds.
She also points out the presence of numerous posters reminding visitors to keep a safe distance from the sea lions.
