Bayonetta 3 gets double age rating

by time news

After four years of waiting since it was announced in 2017, we finally got to see the game last fall in a lengthy gameplay trailer that also revealed a 2022 release. But since then, it has quieted down again.

Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to be due to bad news, as we just got a very good sign pointing to another information blowout coming soon and not too far away. Eagle-eyed ResetEra user Vestan noticed that Bayonetta 3 was recently rated by ESRB and PEGI for age.

The game is rated “M” in the US and “18” in PEGI countries, motivated by “Violence, gore and gore, partial nudity, strong language”.Sounds like Bayonetta okay. Age ratings are usually relatively close to the actual release, so based on that, we’re confident that Bayonetta 3, scheduled for 2022, will actually happen.
