For the last two days there has been heavy flooding in the whole of Gujarat. As a result, the entire city looks like a huge flood forest. Last Sunday, Ahmedabad, the capital of Gujarat, recorded up to 219 mm of rain. Due to this, schools and colleges are flooded and therefore holidays have been given.

Similarly, various villages are submerged in flood. 7 people have died in the last 24 hours due to the resulting debris. State Disaster Management Minister Rajendra Trivedi said that since June 1, as of now, around 63 people have died across the state.

Dang Navsari, Dhabi and Valsad districts in south Gujarat and Panchmahal, Chota Udepur and Kheda districts in central Gujarat have been hit hard by heavy rains. So far 9,000 people have been evacuated to safety.

468 people trapped in flood have been rescued. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have promised to do all the necessary things for flood protection.

Amit Shah said that the Disaster Response Force and the National Rescue Force are ready to deal with further flood damage. Meanwhile, the Indian Navy has rescued 16 people trapped in the flood by air.
