Vladimir Putin will travel to Tehran for a “Persian triangle” with Raisi and Erdogan

Vladimir Putin will travel to Tehran next week for a tripartite summit with his Turkish counterparts, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Iranian President Ebrahim Raïssi, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov confirmed on July 12.

“The president’s trip to Iran is being prepared. There will be a meeting of heads of state, the guarantors of the Astana process. This is, as you know, a mechanism to resolve the Syrian conflict”said Peskov, adding that bilateral contacts will take place with the Iranian leaders as well as a trilateral meeting between the presidents.

This summit, which the Moscow daily Kommersant has already qualified as “triangle persan”will take place on July 19:
