The airline Transavia, a low-cost subsidiary of Air France, announced, via a statement from a spokesperson to the Reuters news agency, the cancellation of 15% of its flights on Wednesday. This decision was taken due to the flight crew strike, which disrupted the company’s activity on Wednesday.

Some 300 pursers, stewards and hostesses, out of the company’s 700, are on strike, according to the SNPNC union (National Union of Commercial Flight Crew) which called for a five-day walkout from July 13 to 17. , to demand wage increases and denounce the working conditions of the crews.

For its part, the SNPNC considers that these measures are not sufficient to meet the cost of living and denounces the fact that they are not sustainable. He calls for a revaluation of all the salary grids from January 2023 and a revaluation of 5% for a Cabin Crew Member at the start of his career.
