Isn’t the truth in Parliament? Opposition questions on censorship issue

by time news

While dictatorship, corruption, treachery and some Hindi words have been announced as prohibited words in Parliament, opposition parties including the Congress have questioned whether the truth should not be spoken in Parliament.
With the monsoon session of Parliament starting on July 18, the Lok Sabha Secretariat has released a book containing words that should not be used in Parliament.
In it, various words including anarchy, sakuni, dictatorship, dictator, abuse have been declared as words that should not be used in Parliament. Opposition parties including the Congress have strongly opposed this.
Regarding this, Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi tweeted, ‘What is the use of criticism if it is not constructive? How do you call a selfish person without calling them a selfish person?
It is unnecessary to have banned words including dictatorship, dictator, abuse, shame and hypocrisy,” he said.
Subsequently, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has criticized it as ‘shameful’. And, ‘These are the true words of the Modi government.. What next? He also questioned.
In this situation, Congress president Priyanka Gandhi has accused that ‘corrupt people do not like the word corruption’.
Regarding this, he tweeted, ‘No one likes to be called corruption when involved in corruption. On the contrary, the aim of the present central government is to make it proud. 2 crore jobs, doubling of farmers’ income, they have unleashed lies. We would like to thank them for their kind words.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MP Makuwa Moitra has criticized that the word Chungi is not included in the list of banned words.
Regarding this, he tweeted, ‘Why is the word chunky not included in the list of banned words in Rajya Sabha? The BJP government is indulging in imposing only the use of selected words. It has taken up this word game to destroy the whole of India.”
Another Trinamool Congress MP, Derrick O’Brien, who has opposed this decision of the central government, has said that he will use the banned words in the Lok Sabha. He is about this. Words like insult, abuse, corruption, treachery, hypocrisy and incompetent have been banned during the monsoon session.
I will use these words. Even if I get suspended. “I will fight for democracy,” he said.
