In this regard, on behalf of the Enforcement Department, a petition was filed in the Mumbai Financial Fraud Court to issue a warrant to arrest Lalit Modi. The Enforcement Directorate has already written reminder letters to Modi several times in connection with the issue and asked him to attend the hearing.
Lalit Modi, who has been accused in the complaints of cricket gambling and IPL fraud, avoided trial by claiming that he was threatened by terrorists in India and left India and took refuge in London. He has been accused of tax evasion and money laundering in India. In this situation, Lalit Modi has announced that he is dating Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.
