The incident of rape of a village singer from Dakshindari area of Kolkata district of West Bengal has caused shock.
The rural singer went to the shop near her house to buy things on the 12th at noon. Then, due to a sudden rain, he stood aside in a nearby thatched shed.
Then, the rickshaw driver, who was hiding there, dragged the girl to a nearby hidden area. There the rickshaw driver sexually assaulted the woman. Later, he stole the gold jewelery and money that the singer was wearing and fled from there.
The rural singer who was sexually assaulted has been seriously ill for 2 days. Later, the victim, whose health had improved, reported the incident to the police.
Following this complaint, the police arrested the rickshaw driver who sexually assaulted the village singer yesterday. The medical examination confirmed that the village singer was sexually assaulted. The police are still investigating the incident.
