1. Czech honor for Suari

Skoda, the Czech car giant, presented a special award to Prof. Yitzhak Suari, who heads the brand’s importer to Israel, as part of the Importer of the Year conference held in Prague recently. The award was given to him in recognition of his many years of work in the field, and his contribution to the success of the brand in Israel.

Suari won the prestigious Laurin & Klement Award, given once every few years, to people who have dedicated their time and energy to promoting the ‘Skoda’ brand in their market, in a particularly noteworthy way. The award was presented to Prof. Suari by Martin Jan – a member of Skoda’s Board of Directors and Vice President of Marketing and Sales; And Lobus Velchek – Sales Manager in Europe.

Prof. Yitzhak Suari has served, among others, as chairman of the Allied Group and chairman of Champion Motors, since 2005. Under his leadership, Skoda has recorded a number of outstanding achievements in Israel, including becoming the European brand sold in Israel in the last decade, and fourth in the ranking Overall, with delivery of over 20,000 vehicles annually. Sales peaks translated into a market share of 9.2% compared to 0.7% on the eve of Suari’s entry into office.

2. Sil sings to Nacht

Billionaire Marius Nacht, one of the founders of Check Point, and one of the largest investors in Israel in the field of life sciences, celebrated his 60th birthday last weekend, in a specially invested production held in neighboring Greece. 3. The story of Telem and Tadmor

MGM Studios, recently acquired by technology giant AMAZON, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Israeli television and film production company SIPUR, formerly Tadmor Entertainment, founded by entrepreneur and businessman Gideon Tadmor and CEO Emilio Shenkar.
As part of the move, SIPUR announced the appointment of two senior reinforcement players from the American industry to senior positions in it: Nancy Telem – former president of CBS and currently chairman of the Israeli startup Eko, and Jay Cohen, a senior partner in the agency.

SIPUR recently completed a round of recruitment led by Poalim Equity. Among the new investors who have joined: Clal Insurance, the IBI investment house and Ado Kook and Stella Handler who will also serve on the company’s board of directors.

4. The Memories of Wertheimer

Artist Ariela Wertheimer is currently presenting her work ‘Memories’. The work is displayed in the outdoor areas of the Bereishit Hotel in the city of Mitzpe Ramon, as part of an exhibition. Wertheimer’s work consists of three huge, kinetic spheres that mimic the rolling desert plant. The work has been named memories, as the desert plant has the ability to collect seeds and propagate them during its incarnation, and thus according to the artist our memories are collected, the results of which affect the course of our lives, and sow new experiences.

5. I do not – rising

Last Tuesday, the premiere of “I Am Not” – the new film by the esteemed docu-director Tomer Heiman – was held at the Lev Tel Aviv cinema. The protagonist of the film is Oren Levy, whom Hayman met about a decade ago in the film department. 6. Kaz rides

Yahli Kaz, the son of Avner and Heli Kaz, participated on Wednesday with his mare IRIZ at the European Championships for young riders up to the age of 14 held in Oliva, Spain. The championship opened with a solemn ceremony in which the young Kaz performed with the Israeli flag.

7. Turkish in port with opinion
The CEO of the Strauss Group, Giora Bar-De’a, and the CEO of Cafe Elite, Elad Commissar, met this week at the ‘Turkish Pop-Up Complex’ complex, which established the Elite Turkish Coffee brand in the Tel Aviv port.
There are a variety of activities in the complex, including: experiential and authentic coffee complexes with the Ethiopian builder ceremony, grinding spices according to the Yemenite coffee tradition, a photo booth and more. 8. Yes hosted on Monday the big launch event for the ‘Fauda’ series, which returns to the screen this week. Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, creators of ‘Fauda’ – one of the most successful Israeli series in the world, celebrated with the heads of the yes company the rise of the fourth season of the series.
