“Sloborn”, Season 2, Cellcom TV
Everything played and sang in favor of the first season of “Sloborne”. About a murderous epidemic that started in China, spreading through pigeons and hitting the world, leading to the deaths of the masses, to closures – with more or less detail to every viewer looking out the window of his house.
This was the uniqueness of “Sloborn” – its colossal power. Unfortunately, we did not see any of this in the first episode of the second season of the series. First, the corona is no longer the same corona. We got used to it. A new wave of the disease is rising, and no one seems to be excited anymore. We already ate one in ’48, the world tells itself and does not even bother to wear a mask.
The series itself also lacks the confrontation between the few boys and adults left on the island and the forces of darkness – the armies facing the continent and the scientists bothering about a big plot, which last season did not turn out to be. The boys, in a completely uninteresting way, deceive other boys, who deceive an adult guide – this is not a horrible series about an epidemic. This is an unencouraging introduction to a youth series that can take place not only in Sloborn but also in Petah Tikva. One can only hope that in the following chapters they will answer the real plague.
