The “Waste Art” exhibition was still on view in the Vienna Künstlerhaus until the beginning of February. She will be a guest at the Johannes Kepler University until July 13th before making her way to Munich. With their “garbage sculptures”, artists show the reverse side of a brave new world of goods: worthless items are transformed, rearranged, collected and the handling of waste is relentlessly documented.
“Can art change our status quo? I am convinced of it,” says curator Ina Loitzl. “I think an exhibition like this is thought-provoking.”
