As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues, Russia has handed over the 604-foot Oscar-class submarine ‘Belgorody’ to its navy. Belgo Road was commissioned on Friday. Commander-in-Chief Nikolai Tevmenov said that Belgo Road will be used for research and scientific expeditions.
Although Belgorod is operated by the Russian Navy, control of each of Belgorod’s missions remains in the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
