I’m 89,830 new Coronavirus infections in Italy today, July 16, 2022, according to Covid data and numbers – region by region – of the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health. There are also another 111 deaths. 398,338 processed swabs, including molecular and antigenic, which show a positivity rate of 22.5%. The number of intensive care units is increasing +10 compared to yesterday, while hospitalizations are 71 more.

LOMBARDY – There are 11,928 new covid infections in Lombardy according to today’s bulletin, July 16. There are also another 30 deaths. 54,634 swabs carried out, of which 21.8% were positive. 41,103 deaths in the region since the beginning of the pandemic. There is a slight decrease in the number of people admitted to intensive care, today 42, 2 less than yesterday; while the number of patients in ordinary Covid wards rose to 1,506 (+24 compared to yesterday). In the metropolitan area of Milan, there are currently 3,647 infections. Four-digit increase also in the province of Brescia (+1.429), Bergamo (+1.186) and Varese (+1.118). Followed by Monza and Brianza, with 989 new cases, Pavia (+720), Como (+665), Mantua (+550), Cremona (+458), Lecco (+365), Lodi (+291) and Sondrio (+ 170).
LAZIO – There are 9,083 new infections from covid in Lazio according to today’s bulletin, July 16. There are also another 7 deaths. There are 4,620 new cases in Rome. Today in Lazio “out of 5,973 molecular swabs and 34,147 antigenic swabs for a total of 40,120 swabs, there are 9,083 new positive cases (+571), 7 deaths (-1), 1,014 hospitalized (+17), 74 therapies intensive (+2) and +5,543 the healed. EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 7,158 new covid infections in Emilia Romagna according to today’s bulletin, July 16. There are also 2 other deaths. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 1,683,330 positive cases have been recorded in the region. 24,683 swabs performed in the last 24 hours, of which 10,333 were molecular and 14,350 rapid antigen tests. Overall, the percentage of new positives on the number of tampons made is 29%. There are 2 deaths: 1 in the province of Forlì-Cesena (an 88-year-old woman in the Forlì area); 1 outside the region, a 74-year-old man whose death was registered by the Piacenza Ausl. There are no deaths in the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna, Rimini and in the Imola district. In total, there have been 17,256 deaths in the region since the beginning of the epidemic.
TUSCANY – In Tuscany there are 4,713 new coronavirus infections registered today, July 16, bringing the total to 1,289,234 since the beginning of the health emergency. The bulletin of the Region reports it. Today, 2,216 molecular swabs and 20,139 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 21.1% were positive. There are 2 new deaths: a man and a woman with an average age of 95.5 years. The people hospitalized in the beds dedicated to Covid patients today are a total of 765 (6 more than yesterday, plus 0.8%), 32 in intensive care (3 more than yesterday, plus 10.3%).
CALABRIA – There are 2,653 new covid infections in Calabria according to today’s bulletin, July 16. There are also 4 other deaths. 9,055 swabs performed, +1,377 healed, 2,733 total deaths. The bulletin also records +1.272 currently positive, +5 hospitalizations (for a total of 319) and, finally, -1 intensive care (for a total of 14).
