Sasidev and Sonu Yadav added 21 (18) runs while Sathish 8 (7) and Haris Kumar 4 (6) gave a shock after getting dismissed. However, if the target was low, the Chepag team managed to win by 139/5 in 19.2 overs.
In this match, Ravichandran Ashwin conceded only 21 runs in 4 overs and took one wicket.
Ashwin is expected to use this TNPL series to practice and play a threatening role in the T20 series against the West Indies. This will increase the chances of being in the team for the T20 World Cup.
